What a pleasure it has been to serve the Hollywood Riviera real estate market for 25 years now. Hard to believe how I’ve been selling real estate for 25 years now. It has gone by so quickly. What a whirlwhind too.

I live in the Hollywood Riviera and have sent my children to the wonderful schools here. Riviera Elementary is at the top of the Rivera and has the same principle, Kristie Forshey and has fostered a wonderful environment for the next generation to grow up in this community. Richardson Middle School is dedicated to our 6th – 8th graders in this South Torrance enclave. Then it’s off to South Torrance High School which offers programs in many disciplines…arts, engineering, math, sciences, and also provides a rich sports program.

One of the biggest changes I have experienced living and working in the Hollywood Riviera over the last 25 years is the growth of the Riviera Village! Wow – the expansion of the outdoor seating and entertaining spaces was a massive benefit of the COVID years. There are so many great restaurants & bars – old and new! Plus exciting shopping experiences for pretty much every taste and style. Special Events have become tradition in the Village and are super fun especially if you love live music in the streets! Some of the notable Riviera Village events include the Halloween Trick or Treat parade where all the stores hand out candy and everyone dresses up. Or the Holiday Stroll where Santa and his sleigh make an appearance along with warm hot toddies and snow! Weekly farmer’s markets and 4th of July 10K’s are also popular.

I look forward to serving our community further and am very grateful for the last quarter of a century. I have helped so many people. Some brand new homes….I remember selling one of the first “million dollar” homes back in 2003. That same family still resides in that home that was built in 1997. It sold for $310,000 in May of 1997 as the original 1948 home it was. Then the builder put a brand new 1997 home on the lot and sold it for $759,000 in December of 1997. (Crazy that you could actually build a new home that quickly back then. That would take two years today.) And then my clients bought the house in August 2003 for $1,025,000.

I’ve helped people recently who lived in their home for 60+ years. They are both in their 90’s and recently sold the house they bought in 1963 for $2,309,000. Bet they never would have dreamed up that price 62 years ago !!

The Hollywood Riviera is a slice of paradise located in the southern end of Torrance with gorgeous beaches, beautiful views, great schools, an amazing and very popular little Village. Call me if you want to know more about your home and its value or if you want a guided tour of this area so you too can enjoy this wonderful lifestyle. Sincerely, Kelly Evans (310) 613-2465
