Hollywood Riviera Homes Sales – June 2011 sees 15 homes Sold! – It’s been a busy month here in the Hollywood Riviera as far as home sales go. 15 homes closed escrow this month alone! Wow! Those homes ranged in price between $662,000 and $2,000,000. For $662,000 the buyer got a nice starter home on Riviera Way with 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms in 1120 sq ft. It was cute and updated. At the $2,000,000 mark the buyer got quite a location – at the corner of Paseo de la Playa and Paseo de Suenos. It was a spacious home with 5 bedrooms/5 bathrooms in 3988 sq ft. The average price of the Sold homes in June 2011 was $1,140,800. Compare that to the 1st 5 months of 2011 at $939,888 and you can see how our average price has gone up for the 1st half of 2011 quite a bit thanks to the sales of June 2011! Basically, there had not been any higher end homes sold for quite a while and finally a bunch sold to help bring our average price back up again! The average price for the 1st half of 2011 is now $1,000,160. Compare that to our average price for the 1st half of 2010 ($1,022,895) and we see that we have not lost any ground since last year. One should keep in mind the number of homes sold in 2011 vs 2010 has been 22% higher. 50 homes have sold since January 1st, 2011 vs. only 39 homes sold in the 1st half of 2010.
